Fairchild’s professional development courses are uniquely designed for K-12 educators to increase their knowledge and understanding of the importance of plants, plant uses, and conservation efforts for the future.

Tropical Botany Bootcamp for 3rd through 12th Grade Educators
June 22 – June 26, 2026
8:30 am – 3:30 pm

Join Fairchild Plant Experts for this week-long comprehensive botany course, designed to equip teachers with a deep understanding of botanical and ecological concepts to engage students across grade levels. Throughout this program, educators will explore fundamental topics such as plant classification, morphology, anatomy, physiology, photosynthesis, and plant-pollinator interactions, all of which are vital to all life on Earth. This week-long course combines traditional pedagogy with modern teaching methods, equipping participants with a range of skills to share this new knowledge with students. Through a blend of lectures, hands-on plant lab activities, independent and cooperative inquiry sessions, and guided outdoor instruction, teachers will experience a dynamic learning environment.
