For one weekend each summer, Fairchild becomes the largest mango experience in the country.
More than 400 varieties on display.
One of the world’s great living mango collections.
Three decades of tradition, one city that takes this fruit seriously.
Miami is a mango city. The trees grow in every other backyard. The fruit shows up on family tables, at cookouts, in recipes passed down from Havana, Kingston, Santo Domingo, and Delhi. Everyone has a favorite variety. Everyone argues about it.
And everyone knows the feeling of picking one off the tree, standing at the kitchen sink, and eating it right there, juice running down your wrists — the best five minutes of summer.
Every one of those backyard trees has a story, and most of them lead back to Fairchild. For one weekend in June, the people behind that work bring it all together: thousands of mangos, shaped by the scientists and horticulturists who made South Florida a mango region.

THE FAIRCHILD COLLECTION
At the Fairchild Mango Festival, you can experience one of the most extensive mango collections in the world, with over 400 varieties grown and studied in South Florida.
Experience the Festival
Dozens of varieties on display side by side: floral and honeyed, citrus-bright, rich, sharp, unexpected. Mangos from the Caribbean, South Florida, India, and beyond — many rarely available outside Miami.
Some you’ve had your whole life. Some you’ll see for the first time.
Every menu turns on mango. South Florida chefs build dishes around the fruit at its peak: savory plates, desserts, cocktails, and specialties drawn from the Caribbean, Latin American, and global kitchens that shape how Miami eats.
Music runs through the weekend. Families settle in. Plan to stay.
Mango trees, selected by Fairchild for South Florida backyards, are a core part of the weekend. More than 20,000 have gone home with Festival-goers over the last 30 years.
You can take one home, too.
The same fruit behind Fairchild’s collections is available to take home. Grown at The Fairchild Farm, harvested at peak ripeness, and offered at a quality rarely found outside South Florida.
Come early — the best varieties move fast!
Everything you need for a full day in the garden. Premium experiences sold separately.
Full access to Fairchild for the day when the King of Tropical Fruit reigns. One weekend. One city. Thirty years of tradition.
The Fairchild Mango Display in the Garden House: one of the most complete mango exhibits in the world. Experience the full range of mango in one place.
Free lectures all weekend. Growers and scientists sharing what they know about picking a variety, planting a tree, and getting it to fruit in a South Florida backyard.
The Kids Mango Art Station: hands-on, mango-themed, and open all day. Something for every age in the family.
Mangos all day! Trees selected for South Florida backyards. Food and market vendors across the Garden. Come hungry. Leave with a tree.

Heritage & Authority
More than a hundred years ago, Dr. David Fairchild brought mango to the United States and helped establish cultivation in South Florida. That work continues today through Fairchild’s Tropical Fruit Program, which maintains one of the most significant mango collections in the world and shapes how this fruit grows in our region.
The Festival is the public face of that work — and the reason Miami has a mango culture unlike anywhere else in the country.
